We go on frequent day trips in small and large groups throughout the year. These trips support your child's development and are a fun opportunity for the children to discover new places and satisfy their curiosity about the world around them.
Your child will enjoy regular trips to places such as the library, the park or local shops, giving them opportunities to develop their key skills in a different environment. These provide children with the chance to learn about their community in a controlled and secure way.
In addition to these regular trips, your child will also enjoy outings to exciting locations such as Little Jack's Farm, the Curve Theatre, the fire station and the cattle market. Trips will fit into the nursery's themes - for example, your child might go pumpkin picking ahead of Halloween.
In addition to trips to locations in Melton and further afield, the children frequently enjoy trips within walking distance of the nursery. Exploring our beautiful natural environment, we will go on nature trails to collect materials like leaves, sticks and conkers. While doing this, they will be developing their understanding of areas like counting, shapes and colours.
Your child's safety and security are our first priority and each of our exciting trips are risk assessed. We provide an appropriate staff to child ratio, with our experienced team trained in paediatric first aid.
We use our minibuses for trips further away from the nursery. Using our secure Famly app, you will receive information about what your child has been doing while on the trip.
Our trips will help your child's development as they learn new skills in a different environment.
For example, on a trip to the local shops we might challenge numeracy skills by counting fruit together, support their understanding of the world by discovering different types of produce and develop their creativity and imagination by engaging in role play.
We host a range of social events for families to attend throughout the year, such as the Christmas Nativity.
We encourage family involvement in all our events, which give you a chance to socialise with other parents and build stronger relationships with the staff caring for your child.
